Privacy Policy & Terms of Service
Effective Date: 2025-10-10Privacy Policy
Short summary: RedzBot stores per-server identifiers and game data to operate features such as server-scoped leaderboards and point balances. We do not sell personal data. For data requests, contact the bot owner (details below).
Information We Collect
- Discord identifiers: user ID and username used to track scores and attribute points within a server.
- Server (guild) ID: used to scope leaderboards and server-specific settings.
- Game data: points, trivia answers, timestamps, and gameplay metadata necessary to run games and leaderboards.
- Optional support data: messages, feedback, or contact information you provide when reporting issues or requesting help.
How We Use Your Information
We use the data above to provide and improve RedzBot's features: run games, calculate and display server-specific leaderboards, store points and history, prevent abuse, and provide support. We do not sell or rent personal data to third parties.
Storage and Retention
Game and leaderboard data is stored on the bot's hosting infrastructure (for small deployments this may be a local JSON file such as scores.json, or a managed database). Data is retained while the bot is active on a server. Retention period can be set by the bot owner; default retention: 12 months of inactivity unless otherwise configured.
Third-Party Services
RedzBot may use third-party hosting or database providers to store gameplay data. These providers are engaged to support the bot’s operation and are contractually required to protect user data. We do not use third parties for advertising or selling user data.
Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect data. No system can be guaranteed secure; if a breach is discovered, the bot owner will investigate and take appropriate action.
Children
RedzBot is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes their child provided information, contact us to request deletion.
Your Rights and Choices
- Request access to the data associated with your Discord ID.
- Request deletion or reset of your points for a specific server (server administrators can also reset server data).
- Contact the bot owner to request data export or removal.
How to Request Data or Deletion
For data requests, contact the bot owner on Discord at @redz.cs or via the bot's support server. For server-scoped requests, ask a server administrator to initiate the request or use the bot's built-in data commands if available.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. The "Effective Date" above will change when we publish updates. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised terms.
